Mile High Area Service Committee
of Narcotics Anonymous
"The purpose of the Hospitals and Institutions subcommittee is to introduce people to the Narcotics Anonymous program and what it has to offer them. The primary focus is that "an addict, any addict, can stop using drugs and lose the desire to use."
The H & I subcommittee carries the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular NA meetings. Meetings and/or presentations are provided to hospitals, jails, addiction treatment facilities, detox centers and other various institutions.
How to get involved in with H & I - Identify with a facility where you meet the clean time requirements/clearance requirements and those that may appeal to you, then call the H&I Chair and/or Vice Chair (below) for additional information. Even if you don't meet the clean time requirements, please get involved in H & I service by attending our subcommittee meetings on the 2nd Sunday of each month. 5:00p - 6:45p @ 1212 Mariposa St., Denver (after the Area meeting)
We are looking for volunteers to speak occasionally or to commit to a once a month attendance at any of these facilities. If interested, call one of the panel coordinators listed on the facilities meeting list or come to our subcommittee meeting.
Facilities recommended for new volunteers are Arapahoe House, Salvation Army, Wright Center and Valley Hope.
